An outdated farmhouse was fully renovated by inside designer Mireia Pla, positioned within the village of Alhaurín el Grande within the Province of Malaga, Andalucía, Southern Spain. This eclectic summer time retreat naturally interweaves the country essence of the place with a recent and up to date design. “We discovered a rural housing that had an archaic distribution and little use, with small home windows and austere finishes,” explains the designer.
The thought was to remodel this dwelling right into a summer time retreat for a household of 4 dwelling in London, looking for the solar and tranquility of southern Spain. In response to their needs and wishes, an open home was designed, with giant home windows connecting the inside and exterior, in addition to diaphanous areas that enables social communication. That’s the reason a big a part of the primary ground was devoted to a standard area that integrates the lounge, eating room and a hanging kitchen as a backdrop.
